Any fellow Tiger fans here living in the Denver area?
I’ve been offered a significant promotion/ pay raise to relocate to Denver.
We currently live in the hill country area of Texas ( absolutely love it ).
Problem is this promotion is over double my current income.
Me and my wife are both 28 with no kids yet so now would be the time, if ever, to make a jump like this. My primary concern is the difference home prices. Honestly it seems like a sizable chunck of my raise would be wiped out by increased housing cost.
Is anyone here in the Denver area and could you share some feedback on what living up there is like?

Depends what your interests are

I'm not a big outdoorsey guy so wasn't for me. Also, I knew nobody there and was significantly younger than my co workers

Although, if I got my salary doubled I'd move right back

What about the wife? That's a pretty substantial raise, and CO outside of ski towns isn't twice as expensive as hill country. Also pics.

This is probably better than Denver. But if you live outside the city it'll be nice

I thought Texas hill country was just as expensive as Denver nowadays.

I went two weeks ago for a concert. The whole city smells like weed.
The train is nice for getting around.

Thx Yeti.
I work in medical sales so the furthest I could live from downtown Denver would probably be like Castle Rock area.

You would think, but no. My home in Denver would probably be 200-300k more expensive.

The extra money you make and the extra money you spend on the house will only make the divorce and child support more of a financial hardship

Plenty of LSU fans here. There is a LSU-Denver FB group that watches the games at Stoney’s sports bar in the fall. I’d say about 100+ fans show up.

Moved here for work 7 years ago and it was best decision we’ve made. Would suggest looking at burbs within Douglas County and staying away from the city. Safe area with good schools and quality of life. It’s expensive but worth it with the right pay.

It's fun, but it is expensive. Housing is like 80% of California. A lot of people are transplants. Super duper liberal if you care about that.

Can’t help you beyond confirming what you know already. Denver housing is expensive. A son just picked up a studio apartment downtown near Union Station. It’s about $2000 monthly with covered parking.

Good luck with your decision.

Did you watch the video of girl from Denver complaining about Venezuela gangs from prison living there and terrorizing everyone? Gonna get worse too.
