The discovery was made around 11:45 a.m. in the 900 block of Highland Park Drive. Two people were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds inside the house.
BRPD says the shooting appears to be a murder-suicide, however investigators believe the incident happened several days ago. The two found dead were in a relationship, officials said.
Police say a family member came to check on the pair after friends and relatives hadn't heard from them for a number of days. When that person arrived at the house, the two were found dead.
Authorities also believe one of the victims suffered from a mental illness.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

Correct I actually grew up in the house next door to this one... my family owned it from 65-98’.... . there were nothing but old man Staring’s cow pastures and woods from our back yard all the way to Magnolia Woods until around 69’-70 when they started Kenilworths first filling...
Also don’t let it be confused with Highland Road park which is 3-4 miles away
