you should really shoot for the st. francisville location

That plant is super hot (radiation wise). Waterford III has much better working conditions (radiation wise).

Yes it is thats why getting a 3-5yr contract is probably all youd want to do. (providing what youre position is of course)

I actually did, but I can't really find a place in Killona. Obviously you can locate some decent places in Nola, but I want to find someplace closer to the facility

Killona is barely anything. Hell, I'm not even sure if people live in Killona.

Stay in wallace, la. Just park across the levee and sleep in your truck.

Entergy is very good with ALARA. Feds say I can have up to 5 REM/yr as a radiation worker. Entergy says I can only have 3 REM/yr. They are a good company to work for. Better to be a contractor, though. Although you don't get the benefits, they pay contractors very well. My dad is retired from Waterford III. I've contracted for Entergy gulf south for a while now.

Guy's that would work outages usually stayed in Kenner (bruh). There's a nice holiday inn on hwy 61 about 10 min from the plant. Good luck on the interview. If you get the job, I may run in to you every now and then. In Killona quite a bit.

Google friggin Maps

Shouldn't take an engineering degree.

Edit: The Days Inn by MSY is cheap and likely less shady than other ones in the area. It's like a 20 minute drive to where you need to be.

You're telling me an Engineering degree from Southern is only worth a job at a plant that's radioactive?....shocker

I don't know, I'm not an engineer. I also didn't go to Southern.

Killona is about 8 - 10 miles upriver on the River Road from the Luling-Destrehan/I-310 bridge.

There is a hotel at the bridge in Luling, don't recall the chain.

Kenner/Metairie is relatively close thanks to the interstate.
