A high end apartment complex in England is under fire after installing pigeon spikes in its trees to protect tenants' expensive cars.
quote:
The bird-repelling barbs were affixed to a pair of trees at the front of the property, located in a wealthy neighborhood in the English city of Bristol.
As one can imagine, the unsightly addition to the neighborhood has generated quite a bit of controversy, since the purpose of the spikes is simply to keep birds from befouling fancy cars parked below.
quote:
One local politician conceded that the complex can legally install the spikes by virtue of their ownership of the trees, but decried the decision nonetheless.

It’s a dick move for sure.

such a wast of time and money, unless they want to cut the trees down altogether, there is still 90% of the tree then can land on and shite all over those fancy cars

I'd shite on their cars myself, out of protest.

Can't be that posh if they don't offer covered parking.

Pigeon spikes cover every famous monument/church in Europe, not sure why this is suddenly a problem

There is hope, however, that the spikes may be removed by way of the always-powerful force of public shaming as images of the now-gaudy trees have spread online and the story has been picked up by the media.
Love the responses so far.
Another OT example of how SJW behavior is tolerated by those staunchly opposed to it.

Shouldn't be that hard to find.
Look for the Pigeon Spikes in the trees.

So posh they don't offer garage parking or covered parking.
Pigeons are rats with wings though, so I have no issues.

It must not be that posh if they can't even provide covered parking.

Awesome. Instead of bird poop they will have dead birds on their windshields.

I’d give my man Harvey Updyke a call

Pigeon spikes on buildings is fine with me.
Pigeon spikes on natural things like rocks and trees seems stupid.

Not live in an apartment where I had to park outside.
