Doesn’t stop people from buying Ford F150s.

I never claimed to be an expert on anything. But it doesn’t take an expert to know that a claim that a 911 is the equivalent to a 3-series is ridiculous

Great car, but far too common for my taste.

There is nothing "common" about a car where less than 9k of them are sold per year in the US.

How is a Porsche douchey?

Some people a. can easily afford 6 figure cars and b. dont need to haul around a bunch of stuff or passengers.

It’s like the only expensive vehicle this board endorses is a Toyota Land Cruiser. Some people enjoy driving, and can afford luxury or sports cars. Not everyone pays cash for a Honda Civic and drives it for 12 years until the wheels fall off.

Fairly sure more are sold than that.

Nothing will ever top the Infiniti G37 as far as douche cars go.

In the 90s it was the Lexus SC400 that reigned supreme, I loved that car when it first came out than "poof" douche mobile.

You’re right I know nothing about the car scene in the DFW area because I’ve never purchased a vehicle from there twice. Nor have I visited friends who live in Highland Park multiple times. Nor do I live in a more expensive area of the country.

I’m just a simpleton with no money or experience who makes wild accusations for fun. You caught me.

Oh you should have stated you purchased a car at dealership in DFW, well that makes you a bonafide expert on all things Dallas / Ft. Worth.

I understand Highland Park is a nice area, but just admit you exaggerated when you said a 911 is the equivalent of a 3-series there. It's just factually incorrect.

I'm no expert on the area, as I've previously stated, but I know that much. Mostly because it's common sense.

I’d love to be able to see that sales breakdown in metro areas of New York, DC, Chicago, LA and Dallas.

Common is a relative term, there is a huge Porsche following with very active PCA members.

A short drive in town and you will see several various models, mostly 997/991 variety. It wasn't a knock on the car, they are great cars, but it's the car of choice HERE of many entering the sports car realm.

A restyled and rebuilt 964 is best car in the world. There isn't a question, money no object...there isn't anything I'd take before a Singer.

Porsche makes about 25,000 911 cars (all sub models included) annually worldwide.

So, the 9000-10,000 U.S. annual sales number isn't that far off.

As a reference, Porsche New Orleans sells about 4 new 911 Turbo S models a year.

I bet they are way more "common" where I live and I wouldn't dare say it's the equivalent to a 3-series.
