Porch collapsed at Wrong Iron

During the Saints game, it started raining and people flooded to the porch. It collapsed by slanting down and threw everyone off it. Pandemonium ensued and they shut down. Fire trucks ambulances etc.
We were at bayou leaving and we saw the crazy crowd flooding out and asked someone.
(Wrong Iron is a very popular beer garden type place in MidCity New Orleans. Very popular with Metairie folk because of the parking. It gets very crowded on game days.

Drove by it an hour ago. That area is like being near campus during a LSU game. Had no idea going out to see Saints was such a big deal.

Like I said I wasn’t there we were at bayou. Just relying on what others said and what we saw from people panicking

I don’t know how we don’t hear more about this sort of thing. I just cringe when I see all of those raggedy balconies crowded with people in the quarter.

Maybe the place is cursed after being built on the site after a fire mysteriously burned down all the businesses that used to be there.
