Speculation is suicide because he was super close to ol’ boy who recently died who also worked in AEW which made him fall into a depression, but that has not been confirmed.

I don’t remember seeing him on the list of people who got injured last night that Tony Khan listed out but I almost wonder if he didn’t unknowingly rupture something, have something happen to create a blood clot, or something of that nature.

Apparently some people were finding out about PAC's death AT the Celebration of Life for Andy "The Butcher" Williams

Pretty abrupt, and sad news for wrestling fans. He never had any problems with WWE wellness that I recall, so this could have been just an out of the blue cardiac condition? Haven't seen much of his matches honestly since he joined AEW, which is pretty much the beginning of AEW but he had seemed healthy and pretty much wrestling at a high level, like OP said he was in a heavily promoted spot and just on their PPV from Chicago over the weekend.

My son and I got to meet him after Raw in New Orleans when he was with WWE. He was the only one to walk over and talk to fans outside the Smoothie King Arena. Really high character guy.
