You’re saying the rules are I have to buy a pack of buns, a pack of chicken, a bottle of oil, a jar of mayo, a jar of pickles? Then make one sandwich and throw everything away that I didn’t use?
That’s retarded. No one grocery shops or cooks that way.

I just did the math and the cost is roughly $3.29, and that’s with a 1/2 lb of chicken which I seriously doubt they give you.

I'm saying the rules are you're probably going to eat one of these every 3 months, if that. Amortizing (for lack of a better word) the necessary ingredients and supplies (oil, flour, seasoning, etc) over such a small volume over a long period of time is not going to get you under $4/sandwich.

It’s a great deal especially if the chicken serving is as large as y’all say.

I can confirm it was the biggest chicken breast I've ever had on a sandwich. Imagine a typical fried breast from Popeye's, subtract the bone, add pickles, mayo/spicy sauce, and a bun.

I eat chicken 3 or 4 times a week. We eat pickles on burgers every Sunday. Whatever I don’t use on the sandwich will get used in something else.
The only thing that’s a stretch for me is brioche buns because I don’t buy that nonsense.

Wonder if they will keep the cost at $4. IIRC the cost of a single breast is over $3. Of course the bun and mayo cost them next to nothing.

Lol at the twitter trend about the Popeyes employees stressed about the increase in business due to this sandwich.

CFA workers go through this every day (cept sunday) all year every year!

Stop whining

It's gonna make them all quit and go to work at Burger King.

CFA is properly staffed for the volume, though. Now at Popeyes, you've got 4 half-retards trying to do the job of 8-10 competent people.

Tell me the spicy nugs returning wasn't the most overrated, over-hyped return of all time? They literally taste like the regular nugs with a slight pinch of tonys... smfh

Popeyes workers were rude and messed up orders before, imagine how bad it will be if they are stressed. I tried their sandwich finally, was shitty and not even spicy. Chick-fil-a is better in every way.

I guess I need to try this sandwich, but what Popeyes really needs to bring back are those ghost pepper wings from a few years ago.

They were the bomb

Had some time on a leisurely drive home from SA today and stopped at 3 different Popeyes.

None of them have a sandwich.

Popeyes loses the chicken sandwich battle based solely on not being able to have one available in the state of Texas.

The sun god household always has those ingredients on hand but my time is valuable and I’m not gonna fry up a chicken breast every time I want a good chicken sandwich.

Also I’m not gonna wait in a long line at Popeyes either. It’ll be interesting to see how they react to this rush of customers.

Based on 2 days and 4 restaurants attempts, not well.
