Had the Popeyes chicken sandwich for the first time today. It’s almost exactly the same as the BK tendercrisp before they changed it and f’d it up.

Solid 8/10.

I was waiting on mastersoftext to update me on his thoughts of a chicken sandwich. Thank you so much!

I told someone the same thing the other day.

That sandwich was great

That one didn’t have pickles though

The tendercrisp bacon cheddar ranch had the best commercial with Hootie that probably would be labeled "offensive" today.

Thank god you didn’t have to wait long. He joined TD all of 10 minutes ago and this is his second post.

Not sure what's offensive about any of that.

It was a nice caboose.

Watching the chubsters wax poetic about the Popeyes spicy sandwich is high comedy

But I’ll be damned if they’re not right

Correct observation.

I'm sure someone would find issues with it. The "caboose" line, the "Dallas Cheerleaders give you shaves" line. You know how the crazies are.

Had it recently for the first time too. It's good but not wait in ridiculous long lines good.

It's a Popeye's chicken breast in a King Hawaiian bun. Big deal.

Had it earlier today for this first time too. I still like chic fil a better because the spice is cooked in the batter.

Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich is still the best. Especially on a cold winter Sunday watching football on tv

Had my first one today in Portland - was really good. Helps that I waited until I happened upon a non ghetto popeyes with good people working there. Sandwich was beautiful and tasty and the entire time from pulling into the parking lot until driving away took under 4 minutes

Popeyes' texture was so much better - the fried chicken actually crunched and then crumbled as I chewed. Like real fried chicken. It contrasted perfectly with the soft chewy brioche. The premium pickles were crispy for a third unique texture. The sauce (I will get it "light" next time) was a 4th texture. It was the only flaw of the sandwich in that there was way too much of it and it overpowered the other flavors.

Chick fil a only has one texture. Its very good but the entire sandwich is soft and spongey.

Popeyes is a 9 out of 10
Chick Fil a is a 7.5 out of 10

I had one last week and it was the most overrated thing I’ve had in a long time. It was good enough, I guess. But certainly not worth all of the fuss and outrage bullshite. I still prefer CFA’s, and by a lot actually.

This is what I thought my opinion would be which is obviously why I was okay with waiting so long before I tried it.

This sandwich has a lot going on and I bet it varies greatly from location to location.

It was easily the best fast food item I've had in my entire life. I would have been happy to pay $13 for this same sandwich at an upscale brewery
