Best chicken and livers in Laffy hands down.

They had livers and gizzards at select locations until a few years ago. I think the buffet mentioned in this article still serves livers occasionally.
You do sometimes have to wait for them, though, because not a lot of people order them and they often have to make them when you order. But they'll be fresh, so that's a plus.
ETA: "Fat Albert's"
It's Fatal Bert's. Get it right.

When I was still @ LSU the one in Gonzales where cabela's is now had a buffet.

It's an all you can eat buffet. It's not exactly a place for "refined" food figs like you.
Nothing is better than smoking some weed, watching Star Trek marathons on Fox 15 and eating your giant go box of popeye's.
I never said Popeyes wasn't awesome chicken. But, when passing through Lafayette, why wouldn't I go eat somewhere that I couldn't get at home. Like Hooters or Olive Garden (sarcasm)

I usually reserve that hall pass for my birthday.

Who is that pedophile in that photo next to the chicken wing?

Was one of my "go to" AYCE buffets while in college. Still kill it about once every 3-4 months which is all my stomach can handle. Dirty rice topped w/ red beans is the shizzle. Then banana pudding to wash it down

If you don't live in Lafayette, you cant get the Popeye's buffet at home baw. It is an American tradition that will soon fade away. Go get you some while you can.

Popeye's Buffet
An all-you-can-eat buffet at Popeye's is akin to giving a toddler surgical tools to play with for a large number of Louisianans.
I would absolutely wreck it about once or twice a year.
Thanks for the heads-up, next time I'm in Laffy, I'm there.

there used to be one in Galliano on 308 before the 4 lane opened up. used to tear it up on the way down and back from Grand Isle.
Yep those were the good old days. I don't remember if it was a fire or a hurricane that took out the one in Galliano.
But by then they had taken the buffet out.

I used to think Popeye's was great, until I tried Gus's. Now, just the smell of Popeye's makes me nauseous.
