You know after all these years your post has made me see the errors of my ways. Even though I have actual experience with CQB your post made me realize that my modified Weaver revolver stance is so much easier to assume than my modified Weaver semiautomatic stance. I guess I will give up my Glock, USP’s and Sigs and go get me a Judge with Ivory handles.

To be clear, I don't believe any of those short of closequarters tussling forcing the gun out of battery is stopping a 10mm glock loaded with Hot buffalo bore from firing and clambering another round.

Also, revolvers can and do have failures. They do. I would actually say if two new firearms are placed next to each other, a glock 17 is a contender for reaching the highest round count without cleaning before failure. Beating out old single shot .22 rifles because of powder contamination and failure to eject. And revolvers for lock, star or cylinder face.

With proper service and checks a revolver is very reliable. But for the abuse of everyday carry, I prefer plastic.
