Curious if anyone has found some pool floats that are comfortable. We are having a pool built so this is my first go around with all that crap. I've lounged in cheap floats but never really cared to sit in them longer than a few minutes. Anyone have any preferences.

Any other patio furniture or pool accessories I should be considering? Things you've done that you like or don't like would be appreciated.

As far as floats and water toys, don’t spend a lot of money on them since they get slimy and dirty during the off-season unless you clean them and store out of the elements. We just bought new ones every year after throwing away the ones from the prior year. Kids get bored quickly so having new ones kept them more interested in playing with them. Enjoy the new pool.

I got tired of trashing pool floats every year and splurged on some expensive ones. They still went to shite. So we are back to just buying some every year and throwing them away each season

Trouble Free Pool
First thing's first. Go to that web site if you don't know anything about pools. They know what they're doing there and can answer any question you have about pool ownership.

Swimways Spring Float Recliner XL Lounger
This works great especially floating around the lazy river at Phoenix on the Bay. Beer holder works as long as the kids aren't jumping on you.

We bought some Portofino Chaise Loungers with UV resistant cushion/covers -- I think made from Sunbrella.

Have fun.

So it's like owning a boat, but harder to sell?

From my experience I can tell you that the only ones who will enjoy your pool in the long term will be maintenance crews and repairmen.

Get a good quality automatic cleaner like a Polaris and keep an eye on it to make sure it stays working.

Invest in a Polaris. That thing is frigging awesome. We built an open-air gazebo next to ours. Probably spend more time there than in the pool.

I like the kind with just a mesh bottom and inflatable ring around so you're sitting just in the water.

I agree. We have a couple of those and those are the ones the wife and I spend the most time in.

Semi truck tubes are tough and adds just a touch of trash to your aquatic investment.

Dude...just buy a noodle for every 100lbs you weight. That's all you need.

For furniture you should get all Yeti chairs. Ya know, for when the bears sneak in for a dip.
