I shared a room with my younger brother through HS. I drove him nuts pushing him in sports, which paid off he was all state hon mention basketball and all district in baseball.

Had to hide all my "magazines" from him so mom wouldnt get pissed off.

Wonder why you left you the part that stated these are incomes needed to "live comfortably".

Seems like the most obvious thing of all time that that was implied

Chicken occasionally pops into these threads and has mentioned how people "can't afford housing" because they want much more than they need.

Chicken bought a new construction 5 bedroom dallas suburb mcmansion in his early 30s.

Its hilarious that a band **** like you thinks honorable mention all state as a Center is "meaningless."

Did you chair the Dungeons and Dragons club? That seems so...you.

My younger bro parlayed his skills into full basketball scholarship while you ...well...this is the best you will ever do.

You lose again fricktardo.

Plus if you argue it’s trending up, the amenities people want nowadays in and of itself make the price per square foot go up. It’s not the same.

Today’s interest rates are historically low compared to when he bought. So try again.

And you’re not taking into account a hundred factors that allowed him to do this.

Today’s standards of the average first time home buyers is far from what it used to be.

Price per foot was historically high before the last 5 years? Was that the point you were making?

$300,000 is the new 6 figures needed to live comfortably with a family. That isn’t living high on the hog either! Most BR folks have no choice but to send kids to private schools. I have 2 and it’s more than my mortgage each month. The EBR schools have been decimated by incompetent politicians and schoolboard members. The jacka$$ superintendent now will only make it worse. DEI at its finest. BR was once a great place to raise a family. Those days are long gone.

Inflation going down doesn't mean prices go down, it pretty much means its just not going up as fast. So in what? 2022-23... It went up to what? Almost 7%? Maybe not that much.. Well if it was 6% its was double of what is normal.. Or more than double. So a better chart for you to look at would be cost of living. So for people saying "inflation is down". Yeah, its down from that big spike.

So if the cost of an item you buy on a regular basis went up a significate amount, inflation going down doesn't mean that item will go back to the price it was before it went up a significate amount, it just means its not going up a significate amount anymore... Its still going to go up over time..

You don’t get a full basketball scholarship from being honorable mention on 1A

That's not how it works in sports. I never expected you to understand it but really appreciate you proving it.

He wasnt even all state in baseball, but was more highly recruited in this sport. I'll let you figure try to figure out how it works.
