you seem smart enough to comply roger but maybe you aren't and you would get shot b/c of how you view police and you aren't going to allow them to tell you what to do...shite I am going to stand my ground b/c im a man

It has nothing to do with being a man. It has everything to do with forcing the government to realize that citizens understand the law.

There are enough abuses of law enforcement to realize even law abiding citizens can get the shaft.

actually they did

What crime did they have probable cause to believe he committed?

Having your car break down in the middle of the intersection isn't a crime.

There is no evidence of a crime being committed just a citizen who's fearful his car will blowup.

You make quite a lot of assumptions based on nothing.

The overwhelming consensus among conservatives in these situations is "Oh well. He should have listened to the officer and he wouldn't be dead"

I mean, that should be the overwhelming consensus among anyone because it is a true statement. Doesn't mean the cops operated correctly either. This statement, however, is not what you said.

but you will agree that if a police officer ask you to put your hands in the air and you have guns pointed at you and if you dont comply and instead reach for something in your car that you're likely to be shot dead?

So, you agree the problem is with cops, not the citizens?

In some cases. However I don't think cops are out there looking to murder us I think most bad shootings are due to poor training and simple human error.

Had no clue you were black Woo Pig

But this case is very compelling. The video clearly shows the drivers window as up all the way, not down. The cop claims he was reaching inside. I conclude, as cops will if I fricked up, that ignorance of the law or facts isn't a defense. Murder. frick em.

Like stereotyping, which I've been told makes you literally Hitler.

While true, the cops don't know why this guy is reaching into this car that "might blowup". Why is the car going to blow up? Why is this man reaching into a car if he knows it might blow up?

Were his hands in the car? I couldn't tell. Looks like the door was closed and window up.

His hands were in the air for most of the video.

Absolutely!

This x's a million.

Most shootings are justified.. many of the ones that aren't are often poor decision making IMO.. but not racially motivated.. just incompetence.. which is still A BIG DEAL.. but that is something we can all rally behind fighting.

The problem is who is even going to want to be a cop in today's time?

do you really think it is worth the risk, getting shot dead, to challenge the cops on the street when you feel your rights are being violated?

I would rather do what it takes not to get shot and then use the legal system to try to get justice.

Breaking news they just disclosed that pcp was recovered from the SUV. Not that that justifies the shooting but it certainly explains some things. Car parked in the middle of the road, not listening to orders, etc.
