Not a single person has said that it is.

As another said, that is not trained and it is every bit as deadly. Have you ever heard of the femoral Artery. It's really big and you bleed out really quickly if it is severed.
Police shoot to stop the threat. The best shot to make is center mass. Believe it or not, it is extremely difficult to hit a target then it is moving and your hart is beating at maximum speed. It is extremely stressful.
A cop who was involved in taking the NY Terrorist down yesterday had to go to the ER for heart issues after the event.

"He walked away when I told him to walk towards me" is NOT justification for killing the person. Why in the world do so many people think it is?
thats not what happened and no one is thinking that

bullshite. That's the conservative argument every single time this happens.

Sad statement. Comply or die.
you do realize that by me saying it doesn't actually mean I don't believe cops are violating our rights?
you seem smart enough to comply roger but maybe you aren't and you would get shot b/c of how you view police and you aren't going to allow them to tell you what to do...shite I am going to stand my ground b/c im a man

I'm not going to argue this silly shite with you. Read through the thread. Hop on Twitter and read comments. Hell, go ask some of your conservative buddies.
The overwhelming consensus among conservatives in these situations is "Oh well. He should have listened to the officer and he wouldn't be dead"
I'm not indicting this officer...yet anyway. Not enough facts out. I'm indicting the backwards thought process.

you would rather confront the cop during the altercation right...real smart

I understand what you say there, but the penalty for non compliance should not be death.
the problem with this line of reasoning is that there are situations where noncompliance could put people's lives in danger.
Don't reach for your wallet if you have a gun on you. How can you know if a perp isn't lying and is reaching for a gun when you tell him license and registration. I'm sure it's happened before.
In these stories the danger to cops is always ignored. Cops shouldn't pull their gun on a suspicious character? more cops will get shot. It may sound crazy but when used properly guns make situations safer for all involved. IF you take guns away from cops, or make cops use guns very sparingly, more lives will be lost not saved.
Looking at this situation it looks like some nervous cop made a horrible mistake. Hopefully, they arrest her, let her go from the police force and maybe serve some time in prison.

We need to get VERY FAR away from the notion that police officers killing citizens is acceptable simply because they didn't do what the officer told them to do. That comply or die is so widely acceptable to be is just beyond maddening. Wake the frick up
It really is. I tell my story all the time. I wish people who thought this way would at least listen.
I was in court at age 17 for a very minor traffic ticket (1st one) A police officer came up to me while I was walking to a seat.. he just started sniffing all over me.. I have never drank or done drugs in my life.. and for some reason his actions offended me greatly.. (I was 17 and immature) as he walked away, I said "you arse" under my breath.. I didn't even say hole.. but people around me started to chuckle and he turned around and said he was arresting me.
I absolutely freaked out at the thought of being arrested.. I have awful anxiety/panic attacks, especially with claustrophobia.. so the thought alone of being arrested freaked me.. So when he came to arrest me I shoved him away and ran out the building in sheer panic.. I barely went half a block before I finally came enough to my senses that I wasn't going to be able to avoid this.. even in the midst of absolute panic.. so I surrendered myself to a plain clothes officer. Even though I shoved him and was running, I would NEVER ever harm another person, especially an officer.. however I recognize he doesn't know me or my intent.
So he took me to the police station in his car, and I apologized so much and tried to explain my situation to him.. but he wasn't having it. I even begged he would crack the window for me but he wouldn't.. because I could hardly breath.
Any ways when I got to the station they took some of my possessions then brought me in another room to further be searched.. another officer retrieved two $20 bills from my front pockets and simply says, "Thank you" and he literally put it in his pockets. Then they put me in a cell with 2 other guys.. who were surprised I was even arrested for that.. I called my dad to come get me.
When my dad picked me up and we got my belongings they did not give me my two $20 bills back.. I was upset about it, but I was more relieved to be out of jail than to argue over it.
The arresting officer agreed to drop the charges of assault and I had the arrest removed off my record. I have never once been arrested since.. and I always comply with police and even respect them.. even though I know there are some bad cops who do steal.. doesn't change my mentality towards cops. I appreciate them even if I might be nervous around them.. but not nervous because I did anything wrong.. just naturally anxious..
Looking back now, with recent events.. they could have easily shot me for pushing the officer and even running on foot.. I am thankful they did not.. They could have taken my life over that and people could just assume oh I deserved it.. I didn't comply.
I am lot more mature now so even if I didn't care for the person, I would not say anything negative. Not even towards an ahole cop.. And as I said, I've never been arrested since.. If I am driving and I get pulled over at like a traffic stop.. I have no issue letting a cop search my vehicle or doing anything that helps make him feel comfortable. As I said, I have respect for them. Still nervous around them.. but doesn't make me guilty of anything.

So, you agree the problem is with cops, not the citizens?

It's pretty simple.
Comply with officer's orders and you probably won't get shot
It goes back to this every time. Why was he going toward his vehicle, and why were they letting him?
