Police officer hitting a woman with a baton is now under investigation (Georgia)

The woman who captured the incident did not want to be identified, fearing police retaliation, but she spoke with Choi by phone.

The woman who took the video inside the gas station says McCrary is homeless, and was just in here that night asking people for money -- something, that witness says McCrary does on a regular basis.

I agree. She should have complied to the officer's first command but chose not to. He provided her with too many requests, which like you said, was excessive.

Why not just peacefully put your hands behind your back and get cuffed? Not saying she deserved all that, but that wouldn't have happened had she not tried fighting with him.
Also, said she was arrested 3 days after this event, for prostitution among other things.
And, says she's been arrested many times before. Just saying, she's probably a known trouble maker and was resisting arrest by fighting with the officer, so he had to do something to try to get her to comply. Maybe it was a little too much, but had she not resisted, none of this would have happened.

About the only thing that I saw that bordered on excessive was the last hit at the end when her arms were spread out. Much ado about nothing.

Saw this yesterday morning. Kept waiting for you or tangerine to post but you guys never did. Tangerine must have heard something through the grapevine yesterday and posted the wrong baton beating of the white/Hispanic chick.

Well there's the problem. DONT RESIST! The cop should have just shot it. When will they learn that if you comply - all goes smoothly and professionally. When they act like animals, well, you get what happens in the video.
