Anyone seen these? I could pull up a chair and watch all day. I've witnessed two 'fights' recently while at the self checkout. The grocery store is not the closest one but I'll be driving out of my way moving forward to watch the drama unfold.

It's like the modern day Worldstar.

IG has constant videos of jobless basement dwellers guarding the machine waiting on a restock so they can empty them and scalp the packs.

I used to do Baseball cards during the Covid times, and it was fun, made a little money. Got too expensive, and keeping certain prospects/players sucks because it's such a crap shoot (frick you Wander Franco). Ripping is fun, and selling off what you don't want to keep isn't too bad. What these assholes are doing is just buying sealed product and reselling it. Scalping. Not ripping, not keeping what they want to keep and selling the surplus, not collectors, lazy man-babies who don't want a job. I'd be all for a special tax for these turds. Especially sealed product.

My daughter is into selling stuff on Ebay and wants to start ripping stuff and selling, but it sucks right now. Don't want to do sports for reason above, Pokemon is out of the question due to shitbags who don't want to work. Our only option is Magic. But...it's hard to reconcile how nerdy it is. They sell because people still actually play the card game. Venting.

A lot of it is resellers who would rather hijack a kids hobby than put in actual labor

I saw a clip recently of a store somewhere that rips the pack open as soon as someone pays for it to deter scalpers from buying from them. It was funny watching the ones that missed the giant sign they have clearly stating the store policy go apeshit when the cashier rips their pack in front of them.

*Disclaimer I am not part of this lifestyle

I do dabble heavily in sports cards and they are extremely dangerous.
