It's one thing to get outside. This thing is causing people to venture where they don't belong. I'm surprised Nintendo hasn't been sued (they may or may not have). I went for a run at 9 p.m. the other night and had a weird kid in camouflage and a skull face mask snooping around. The cops were called by someone else and turns out he was playing pokemon. The parks close at dark here, but there have been tons of people "trespassing". People are breaking into private property. Apparently stores are having people loiter with no intention of buying anything because they think something is there.

It really hasn't affected me (outside of that kid freaking me out until I realized he was 12), but it's crazy that a game can say, "hey go outside and do shite on random property that doesn't belong to us".

Wouldn't an app that requires more exercise (physical activity) be a plus though? I mean if they were tracking their miles using MapMyRun or Nike+ we would be praising them, instead they do it while catching imaginary creatures and having to walk 2km, 5km, or 10km.

The beauty of this is that I wear a fit bit and can track my miles walked and things of that nature. There are also apps out there were based on how much you walk, you can raise money for certain causes just by walking. Several thousand people have already been doing this, namely those in support of homeless pets in shelters and things like that.

Pokémon Go is just like anything else in the world. There are negative impacts and there are positive. You as a person, need to be able to determine when and where it's appropriate to play the game and parents should be teaching their children the same. It's as simple as that

The only really annoying that I've experienced with Pokemon Go are the people complaining about it.

Damn people complain about kids not going outside and being on social media all day in the house, now they are doing the complete opposite. Going around to parks, and other public social areas, possibly meeting new friends. Which one do you guys want?

Everyone complaining about this game should walk over to the gaming board. Theres a 111 page ongoing Pokemon Go thread for people who dont mind letting go and having fun in life.

Pretty sad that so many people worry about what others hobbies are.

Not really.

It is pretty miserable to shite on other people's fun.

You know, I was walking around campus, and I saw everybody from sorority girls to the typical nerd playing it. Most people just know how to let go and enjoy things.

Actually, I would probably think it is a great idea. However, these turkeys are all riding around in their cars at 5-10 mph back and forth in front of my house.

So you're worried about pollution. Gotcha, lol.

I'd expect he's more worried about a neighborhood kid looking at his phone stepping into the street in the path of a driver looking at his phone all afte the same Pokemon.

While I have no interest in the game, I see its allure for people who grew up with Pokemon and kids, as well as the value of the excercise. But you must admit, there are some serious pitfall that have already shown up due to distraction and placement of some of the poke stops (I think that's what they're called).

On that note, can anyone tell me exactly how those get set? And no, I'm gonna get the game to find out.

At life brother, at life.

You figs take everything from our hobbies and then call it mainstream 15-20yrs after we got enough of it. But at the time you call us losers for being interested in such hobbies. We take nothing of your boring as hillbilly shtt.

That's EXACTLY how it seems here -- only in cars moving in slow motion.
