This Past Weekend with Theo Von is good for a laugh.

Great call. He's so much better on his pod than his stand-up, imo.

“Podcast” is probably the wrong term for it, as it is more a YouTube series, but Jeremy Parish does historical retrospectives on video games and systems such as the old NES and original Gameboy.

There are different sets of them such as NESWorks (US-released NES and games in chronological order, currently in 1989), Segaiden (Master System and other predecessor systems like SG 1000), Gameboy Works (original Gameboy and games, covering both US and international releases), etc.

There are also some NES Works Gaiden entries covering contemporary systems like the Atari 7800 and Atari Lynx and Metroidvania Works, covering games which are in the adventure exploration theme.

the dude podcast ecosystem is so funny. it's either an ex-marine calling you a bitch if you dont buy his jaw-sculpting bite ball and mushroom coffee or some 17 year old in a suit complaining that woke culture keeps him from getting pussy.

i like cum town

All the "Noiser" Podcasts are well done.

Real Dictators
Real Narcos
Real Survival Stories
Detectives don't sleep

I've graduated to 1.8 playback speed but there are a couple Brit narrators on Noiser that I have to dial it back 1.5

I like John Ziegler's podcast a lot. It was originally called something like "With the Benefit of Hindsight" and dealt mostly with the Jerry Sandusky scandal. He kept going even after he ran out of Sandusky stuff, and now he calls it "The Death of Journalism."

If you are the sort of person who can't enjoy listening to someone unless you immediately agree with him, you probably won't make it too far into Ziegler's stuff.

Before that I tried listening to Mandy Matney's podcast about that weird ginger criminal from South Carolina and after a while she reeeeeally started to grate on me. Like, no... I do not want to hear about your dog.

Radio Rental on iheart. It’s narrated by the guy from The Office who played Dwight, and he plays a cringey character, but the point of the podcast is two random listeners tell a creepy story of something that happened to them. From paranormal to encounters with a serial killer. One guy from BR told a story of how a guy was bugging his girlfriend, he intervened, and later he learned it was Derrick Todd Lee.
