Come on man. This is beyond ridiculous.

LINK

quote:

“Racism today looks like this. This is 21st century racism. It’s different than looking at something like Chip and Dale or Mickey Mouse dressing up as that. It’s not the same as someone’s culture. We’re looking at all the natives throughout all the Americas and saying, ‘look we can boil you down and centralize you to this costume and make you look like a fool,’” Singer said.

Someone needs to tell this guy he is doing more to make his people look foolish than any parade float could ever do.

And of course, the Principal apologizes.

Surprised that they haven't gone after auto makers. Cherokee, Cadillac, stand by.

No, this is 21st century douchebaggery. What a tool.

Hey, a-hole! There was a Mulan float. Where's the outrage over the portrayal of Chinese culture?

People like this make me want to set up a teepee in his yard and invite him to smokum peace pipe with me. I guess I'd better not show up at his house on Halloween wearing my Atlanta Braves jersey.

This is 21 Century racism. Someone needs to scalp that fool. Students and Teacher need sensitivity training, get real. Well I guess Disney is a bunch of racist since they made a movie focused on Pocahontas.

Administration, parents and staff involved were devastated to learn that others were offended and hurt by the Pocahontas float. I have offered several public and private apologies to those offended.

See...the thing is...no one probably actually was. This was likely seen as an opportunity to attention whore. If these kids had a problem, they should have taken it up with Disney, not the school.

Honestly, this is the kind of faux outrage that does no service to legit grievances...and becomes what actual bigots point to as cover when they actually do something bigoted. You simply can't be outraged by EVERYTHING and expect to be taken seriously.

It's practically The Boy Who Cried Wolf at this point...

Looks like they dressed up like characters from a Disney film, which was the point of the parade seemingly.

Faux outrage all around.

Because as a hillbilly, I find it amusing and as a member of the Hillbilly-Coonass Master Race I think it is awesome. So that's supposed to be offensive? Lolollllooooollllooolll

yeah i'm eye-talian and when this started jersey shore was still a thing and i kept imagining how mentally weak i'd have to be to feel anything, let alone outrage, at people dressing up as jersey shore people for fricking Halloween

You know what's got me triggered?

I'll tell you what's got me triggered.

How is it that tv stations, whose main line of business is to produce video, can have the worst, dysfunctional video streaming in the known world?

I mean, if an 8 year can make a youtube channel that streams millions of flawless videos daily, why can't a business with tons of resources stream a video without plugins, bufferings and outright crashes?

Unreal.
