Did you father live in Las Vegas? That is where my mom lived so maybe it was the same book.

No, he was still in BR. I need to find the name of that book. It was short but helped greatly.

Sorry to hear of the news of your dad and what you all are experiencing. I will be praying for you all. Cherish the time and memories you've had with him and I pray that he is comfortable and at peace. I pray that you and your family have comfort and peace also.

I have to admit that it was tough for me to finish reading and brought some tears to my eyes. I lost my dad in November of 2018 and didn't get to see him when he passed away the day after surgery. Wish I could see him one more time to tell him, "I love you, dad."

Well GRL, this is just heartbreaking. I can understand why he doesn't want to live that way anymore. Sending prayers for comfort and acceptance for you and your family. God bless all of you.

That’s tough. Take solace in the fact that he is one of the few who has the luxury of knowing he is about to die and gets to say his goodbyes, enjoy his last days, and make his peace with God. Prayers to you and your family

Hard to read... deepest sympathies. If you have it in you try to get a good audio of him telling a few of your favorite stories. Put them away for safe keeping. In 10, 15, 20 years they will be one of the most precious things you have.

Regardless you are indeed blessed to be able to spend time with him and say goodbye.

I just said a little prayer for your father, you, the rest of your family and his friends. It looks like he has accepted it and is at peace. I know you will keep him as comfortable as possible and he appreciates it.

Prayers sent. Try to take solace that even though this is excruciating to experience, it does afford you the little bit of time to say whatever needs to be said. You can give him the tearful goodbye every good man should have.

Prayers to you and yours and best of luck that his passing is as peaceful as can be. Your love and support in his final mortal days are a testimony to his fatherhood. Hope you all find grace thru these taxing times.

I feel for you mine decided last week to stop taking all meds and just let it end. It’s sad but I respect his decision he fought it for a long time and he’s ready to go. Prayers for you and your family and I hope you can make peace with it.
