Tuesday afternoon city leaders signed a series of agreements to begin the funding process and implement the Plank-Nicholson Bus Rapid Transit project.

from the bus system to the street lights, even the sidewalks, the [project] will completely revamp the North Baton Rouge corridor.

the 54 million dollar job . . . . will link North Baton Rouge and downtown with LSU.

It would be nice to stop the murdering

Finally a way to bring the crime closer to LSU.

That whole commercial area that's built up around nicholson/lee bought to be overrun with car break ins and armed robberies

Because the links we already have between NBR and LSU went so well, like the football players nearby getting robbed and the basketball player, Wayde Sims, getting killed near Southern.

Shouldn’t that be NBR to Angola, with a stopover in downtown BR?
Posted on 11/24/20 at 8:14 pm to lnomm34
So instead of making the crime around LSU better, they are actively trying to make it worse?

Small price to pay to get these folks access to fresh fruits and veggies.

The original rail idea would have been a waste of money but would have had a benefit, tying what was then a rising downtown area containing significant hotel capacity with the areas largest visitor destination (Tiger Stadium).
Now we’re going to tie a sinking downtown area to the Ghetto and LSU using the same roads that are already clogged. This is going to be a mild improvement in convenience for 8 people, but otherwise accomplish nothing,

The accomplishment is getting someone’s beak wet for CATS.
Those frickers hold LSU hostage every year over his service because they know it is about 7 dates per year where they will actually have a full bus.

Nothing is impeding them from shopping at Whole Foods now. Why the bus route?
