Chances the pilot is Capt Suarez?

If traffic is not bad enough we now have planes landing on I-12 and helicopters crashing on the Bonnet Carre

I just saw that he has a rather high bond to make. I didn’t really think it was him. Just made me think of karma for a second.

Holy shite. I saw that helicopter when I was coming back from LaPlace about an hour ago. It was flying super low between the lanes going eastbound. It was also really foggy in that area.
Yep. Daughter (no pics) was headed back to BR so I texted her when I saw this and she said the same exact thing. Holy shite, I saw that helicopter and thought it was flying way too low.

especially if it hit a power line.
There is a high-voltage 230 kV power line that crosses the interstate just past Laplace that I believe is connected to Waterford 3. It is right at the SW 'corner' of the lake at the beginning of the spillway (heading east).
Can't copy image but here is a link to the transmission line on a map.

Helicopter hit a transmission line over the lake

I believe that's 230kV distribution lines.

Someone on Facebook said this:

Crazy how it crash landed onto the bridge, especially if it hit a power line. Was it trying to make an emergency landing on the bridge and just could not get it down safely?
I remember Kobe's helicopter was traveling low above a LA freeway for directions before it went through the foothills and they flew into a fog back.

Yes it is. Thanks. I misread the info on the map that I linked.
That line is 'high' above the roadway from a car/truck standpoint, but it is very low if you are flying under fog.

I'm not sure how to describe that video. There seems to be some heavy smoke on both sides of the interstate there. One is a pilot burning and the other is a driver burning.
Fox 8 asked if they could use the video... Wonder if they're cutting out the joint scene...

It’s registered to 15555 airline hwy in BR, it comes back to Lemoine Company and Five-S Group. Not sure which one is current.
