Very sorry to hear this. I knew some on board and they were wonderful people. Your family is in my prayers.

Jesus man I just looked and have a ton of mutual friends with both the husband and wife. So sad.

Have their names been released?

Looking at flight aware it seems like he may have tried to turn back towards the airport. On ADS-B it shows a heading of 110 then around to a 233 heading.

Prayers sent for all involved. I visit that PO 3-4 times a week and know it well. Person on ground reported seeing plane smoking like crazy. Then hearing loud booms (transformers exploding ?) My guess is the pilot saw the open field from above and did everything he could to land in the open area to avoid crash landing on Pinhook, Verot School Rd, or into the Walmart . This is tragic and could have been a whole lot worse

That is terrible. Hopefully they were knocked out before the fire got them.

That is a very long debris field........that seems to indicate a shallow angle of decent......I will be interested to see what happened. Very sad. Prayers for all.
I wonder if it was overweight. Full gas load plus 5pax and luggage.... might be close

Emile Joseph is my uncle's attorney.
But he wasn't on the plane?

Plane was 8 passenger twin engine. The flight seemed to reach a speed of just under 200 mph before the crash pre the Fox News article.
