Last minute decision. She and the husband were going to drive, but he decided to work at the last minute- a decision that I'm sure will haunt him. A friend of hers offered her a seat on the plane.

Yeah, that Budkis Mandel guy is a moron.

He's also a loudmouth. When I Googled him, one the results was some online news outlet's database of racist commenters. No shite.

SI article states he couldn’t get off work due to some company policy.

Pretty stupid to say shite like that

It said the company policy was employees could not take vacation days after DEC 22.

According to the SI article that’s not at all what happened.

Maybe you know something the SI reporter that interviewed Steve doesn’t.

Exactly.

Steve Jr works and has obligations just like all of us. His company policy is everyone works their scheduled shifts from Dec 22 through the holidays. I promise you Steve Jr would have been in ATL if he could.

I read in the article he had missed a text and phone call from her right before she left because he was working and didn't have his phone with him.

That would haunt me forever, knowing I missed the last opportunity to talk to my spouse and say I love you to them.

That poor man.

Don’t know and don’t care. There’s a lot of people here who care about Carley and her family, thought I’d pass it along. You can hammer out your issues and their potential (or lack thereof) culpability with that company elsewhere.

Are there any donation pages set up for the others? Sounds like everybody is focusing on Carley because she was well known but there were others that unfortunately lost their life too.

There is a GoFundMe for the girl that was burned in the vehicle that was struck.

She will need all the donations she can get for medical costs, costs for rehabilitation, etc.

Update on the gofundme said she will be in the hospital for at least 4 weeks.

And with burn victims...will possibly be multiple readmissions to the hospital in the upcoming years. More surgeries, skin grafts, etc.

You’re acting like an irrational woman right now.

Either that or an attorney trying to set up a narrative for a lawsuit.

You should contact them with your complaint

I’m sure they’ll let you know several employees and executive family members perished also

Plus until the NTSB initial report comes out we don't know what happened. Im sure there will be suits later there always is. The focus is on the survivors and also Carley because she was known by so many and had ties to LSUFB.

This is accurate. The last update I got about Wade was that he was handling the pain well. They were going to do the first dressing change today and if everything went well, they will do the first major cleaning of burnt flesh and apply synthetic skin to cover his wounds, tomorrow.

Just keep praying that he pulls through. His main fight will be infection.
