A very close relative of mine lost his beloved niece and great nephew in this crash. His sister lost her daughter and grandson. They are devastated.
We are related then. How are you related to CK?

Please show respect and pray for strength among those who have lost loved ones.
Amen.

This was a corporate plane for GDS the owners had use of it for personal use The LLC address is the GDS Office
The owner is a air force veteran and flying seems to be a very serious hobby of his. He’s more knowledgeable than most guys with money that own a plane so there’s no way he would allow his son to get in a plane he would deem unsafe. Who knows what happened. It’s a terrible tragedy.

If you have the correct CK, he is married to my first cousin. I’ve known him most of my life and consider him very close family as he does me and my family.
If you are related in the K side, we aren’t technically related, but we sure could have been at some events together.
They live just outside of New Roads, technically.
ETA: His wife is CK too, but goes by a “K” nickname.

This tragedy just further proves BR is a “small” town. 6 ppl lost their lives and nearly everyone I know has some sort of connection to them.

I must’ve missed the post where that was even brought up for discussion.

Slow down and take a breath. I was only pointing out how many lives the victims touched and that everyone in BR seemingly knows each other. It has truly rocked the community

I'll be donating. She's a friend of mine.

This is a horrible situation. My thoughts are with everyone involved. Even if you don't know people personally, when it involves young people with so much life to live, especially if you are at least familiar with them, it is hard not to feel some type of sorrow.
Its such a terrible way to remind us what really is important in life.

Yes, the K side. He is my uncle and your first cousin is my aunt by marriage.
Terrible family tragedy. I will probably head to Jarreau today and cry with everybody.

Wow! Louisiana lost a treasure in Carley McCord. She'll be hard to replace. Poor family members, especially her husband.
She was truly a beautiful lady and a talented professional.
I never met her......many of you did. In that you were greatly blessed.

From my high school class FB page, he is in an induced coma and is expected to survive.
I don't know how accurate this is, just relaying what I have heard.

To survive that would be miraculous.

Agreed. Assuming this is accurate, he is in for a long, painful recovery.
His family are some of the nicest and most hard-working people I know.

This is so very tragic.
One thing about who knew when at the Peach Bowl.
Today's updated ESPN story had this line
This may explain how some players knew and others didn't.
Doesn't make it any easier, but this might straighten out some of the confusion from last night.

I guess its kinda sad that this is true. Or maybe just reality. When I first saw the new that some people had died in a Lafayette plane crash I though, "damn, that sucks" and went about my chores today. After I found out just who died it affected me much much more.
I've seen many callous things said here about innocent locals who have lost their lives.

That’s a great point and I completely agree with you ,but if you truly want to make a difference you need to convince the people in those neighborhoods.

I’m so very sorry for your family’s losses. I know the grief is tremendous. Words seem inadequate.

My sincerest thoughts and prayers go to all of the family members and friends of those in the plane crash. My heart breaks for everyone; this is just so awful.
