Was Antwon a rapper?

Driver complied and was released, showing: 1) don't resist and unless you're Burger King big on a hot summer day and sat on, you won't die; and 2) if the driver was clearly not culpable for any crime, including any relating to the guns in the car, it was the person who ran and got shot.
However, shooting someone who was running away from you is a very, wholly bad look. I'd venture to say categorically bad. I'm for the police and deferring judgment in most cases. However, if we're going to have a bright line rule, then surely if the suspect is running from you and not toward someone to hurt the other person, no gun need ever be fired--if but to protect the officer's interests later.

looks like idiots fault for running. Sometimes lessons are learned the hard way

no i first inform them that i have a concealed weapons permit. then they usually ask if i have a gun. it goes fine from there. i do have a holster under my steering wheel. one cop didnt like it but another approved of it.

Rationale is to prevent further violence perpetrated upon other subjects. If this kid just shot someone, then the officers may have a defense.
If he couldn't prove he knew that before he murdered the kid he is fricked.
Cop should go to jail but he won't

The video makes it look pretty bad, but as others have stated, the vehicle was involved in a felony drive-by and apparently, there's a law in Pittsburgh that allows officers to shoot however they want when you run after committing a felony.

I guess asking police officers not to shoot at unarmed fleeing suspects is too much.
The video looked bad
But what if he had a gun? The officers have to wait for him to turn around and aim at them to shoot?
That is a serious questions for those that say never shoot a fleeing suspect

Antwon should have just told the police he was a free inhabitant and a traveler.
If you say that, the police have to let you go.
If you say that, the police have to let you go.

cops were doing their job....therefore they are fricked

Typically it is the responsibility of the officer to show reasonable fear of his life before pulling the trigger. If the kid didnt have a gun logically that would be difficult to prove.
You're right though, he apparently shot him not knowing whether he could pose a danger to someone else.

The logical thought is to think the fleeing person has a gun on them
I bash cops when they deserve it, but a suspect on the run just involved with another shooting should be taken down with deadly force

Normally I would say let a jury answer that question but we both know it wont go that far.

They released the driver?
Why in the heck did they even pull these men over?
Why did he run? What reason?
More info. We likely won't receive any. Doesn't matter though: kid was unarmed and shot in the back.
Years ago a guy tried to write a bogus check at Subway when I was 15 and a cop came in and he bolted out the door.
This cop was from the old school and cared about lives and chased his arse down with backup apprehending the criminal. We all watched it go down.
He would be dead today. Who needs to run when you can shoot first and get paid on leave?

wasn't that the reason for the dispatch?

quote:well by law CHP holders have to alert the cop they are carrying if they are approached by law enforcement in an official manner. it should go like this "Officer, i am a concealed weapons permit holder and i have my weapon on my right hip under my shirt." The officer will instruct you what to do next. If you are not a CHP holder, first the weapon shouldnt be concealed on you. And you do not have to tell him there is a weapon in the vehicle UNLESS he asks.
Right. I guess when they pull you over you just say "officer I have a [insert weapon] in my console if you wanna inspect it?"
Something like that?
I have no clue about this shite. I carry a tire gauge and a laptop.
