When we flew from Portland to SF we thought about flying with what we had bought in portland but decided to ditch it and buy new in SF. At PDX they made us walk 2 by 2 through a narrow chute with a dog sniffing us. Maybe it was just for explosives but I would have had a kuniption if I would have been carrying

Yeah sounds like I need to make it up to Washington.

But a family member of mine has a dispensary in Colorado so I love going there.

Bro....Ive lived in the NW for a looooong time. I should be giving you advice. I especially know Oregon pretty damn well.

If anything I'm agreeing more people from the south should see the land here. Put our football loyalties aside and appreciate beauty. I'm wanting to spend more time at crater lake, I haven't seen much of southeast Oregon, was wondering about that. Also thinking more along the coast too, spent a bit of time out in Newport and the seal rock area.

Have you been out to Yamhill County and the wine country? I'm not a wine guy but that's one of my favorite areas of Oregon and an easy drive from Portland.

SE is mostly desert.

NE is amazing and largely untouched. Not counting working ranches.

I prefer the coast in the winter. Tourists are gone. Prices come down to earth and watching winter storms is fun. I've had days in shorts and a t shirt in January before.

Want some real fun go clam digging at long beach (opens soon). Get some food and see the scene.

Central Oregon is a playground of mine year round. Lots to do and see.

I'm working on exploring Washington more now that I'm living here (again).

Like when we walk out of a bar or restaurant when we're somewhere else with a drink in our hand.

It's just for explosives. I myself was nervous at first when I saw it.

That change had me nervous for a min then got over it.

Yeah, I went to Newberg not long ago to help promote products at a few dispensaries there and around. I enjoyed it there, I remember it being a relaxing drive.

The SO is telling me she wants to bring me to Cannon beach. Looks great from pics, and love eating fresh seafood. Lots of things I miss from the gulf..but that fresh Lingcod is badass.

Go in the off-season. It can get ridiculous there in the summer.

I was thinking the scenery was perfect for one of those Forza games around there.

Was really missing my car, I flew here so I'm stuck in the SO's 4 cylinder till December.

Cannon Beach is very nice. Check out Ecola State park.

Check the tides and at low tide Haystack rock becomes available to look at creatures in the tide pools.

Saddle Mountain has a nice hike with the best view of the coast thats nearby. If the weather isn't great you won't see anything.

Catching them for dinner is bad arse. Look into a charter trip out of Newport or even more fun a dory boat trip out of Pacific city. Launch right into the ocean from the sand.

Fresh foods market has a beer cooler that rivals a decent pdx bottle shop.

Drive south to at least Manzanita, not far, there are some excellent view points.

Well hell yeah man, appreciate the info. I planned on doing some fishing soon I hope, that is what her father does in Newport, so it's been overdue for that to happen there.

ETA

No problem, enjoy. If you have any questions, ask. I know a lot of cool places to check out.
