Workers at an animal shelter in southeastern Alabama came to work Thursday and were shocked to find that two of the dogs had killed 29 cats overnight.
Bill Banks, director of the Dothan Animal Shelter, told CNN affiliate WTVY that two pit bulls forced their way out of their pens and pushed hard enough against the chain-link fences of the cat area to get inside.
Dothan Mayor Mark Saliba told CNN that the incident will be investigated immediately and that the City Commission has since identified the need for an updated animal shelter.
"Unfortunately, tragic events sometimes fuel us to push things forward a little bit faster," he said. "I'm thinking this will do just that."

shite you don’t have to go far for that. Ascension parish cops were going door to door around McCrory 1 a couple of months ago looking for 2 pit bulls who ate a cat buffet at a barn. Apparently they got about 15 cats

If you have had the Special Fried Rice, you know exactly what the taste of cat, dog, who knows what else tastes like.
My Pops was part of a raid on a Chinese restaurant in City, found 20 cats skinned and hangin in he freezer. They kept their shrimp, in a baggie, in the toilet.

When I lived in Dothan, that shelter was a shithole. I see it has only gotten worse. Though the Wiregrass humane society is located literally next door and is much better at housing animals. Dothan residents and leaders should be ashamed that they have let this crap go on for over 20 years. I guess it took a lot of dead pussy to get things changed for once.

Just putting down any pit bull brought in would be a lot cheaper than building a super max shelter.
