went there one time as a 13 yr. old around 1967.
later, in the mid to late 70's a friend and I road our motorcycles on a dirt track there; sliding around the curves.
I'm thinking it was the same track, unless someone had built a dirt track near the speedway.
fun times, but that was the only time we did that.
spent a lot of time riding motorcycles on the Mississippi River, levees and bar pits south of BTR.

Seeing the guy in his man cave, I wonder why, in old houses, the receptacle is so low. right above the baseboard.
rest of the house receptacles were almost certainly all 2-prong

Definitely all 2 prong. And the receptacles are low because almost none of the living rooms from that time had overhead lighting. They were all lit by lamps. He does have a fixture above his head which is likely connected by a chain.
Something like this was very popular in the 50's and 60's homes
