My dad’s good friend worked for him. He had control over the racetrack in Hot Springs and the races were fixed. They’d let my dad and his friend bet on the winning horse for college beer money as long as they only bet small amounts like 100 dollars

Supposedly 1921, but Prohibition was in by then, & they're selling beer here

There have been women more beautiful than Lynda Carter.
But not many.

1955. 13 year old Princess Yvonne Sayn-Wittgenstein of Germany knocks back a bottle of sherry on the family yacht as her 12 year old brother Prince Alexander finishes a cigarette.

It's a small world we live in. That photo was taken I think by her aunt Maria Anna (Princess Marianne), an accomplished photographer, and has been colorized from the original black and white.
That same year her younger cousin Princess Jeanne was born. The "W" is pronounced as a "V" in English. Really beautiful statuesque blondes in that family. One of the first young women I photographed. I met Jeanne attending a university in the USA and we dated for two years before she went back home. Like being in a Hallmark movie, she never mentioned her heritage until I visited one of their homes a couple times, which was like a museum with fountains and sculpture in the manicured garden.
