They still have Sizzlers out west. We went to one in Flagstaff in 2007 and one in Salt Lake City in 2020.

Steak and Malibu chicken for the win!

Damn, that's an awesome shot. About as old as I am (born in 1964; Astrodome opened in 1965).. You can just sense the Jetsons space age future that everyone thought would come in this photo-- a nice sunny day in the new developing south, or 'sun belt'...a huge new modern monstrosity built out in the undeveloped outskirts amongst mostly nothing... that nice new Chevy coupe resplendent with shiny chrome... the Houston Space Center and astronaut training not far away; gotta get to the moon before the decade ends...

Walgreens and Woolworth in Delmont Village had soda fountains. I always ordered a cherry phosphate at the soda fountain in Walgreens. Those two soda fountains existed in the 50's and 60's. From what I remember the hot dogs at Woolworth's were pretty good.

And they were robbed and nearly killed by locals, Linda getting them to stop beating him by yelling "He's Beatle Paul!! He's Beatle Paul!!"

Yeah, and he went to a club to see the most famous Nigerian musician and that was a fracas too because the guy thought Paul was coming to steal African beats. He managed to get the guy to come to the studio and hear some recordings - and the guy was satisfied that it was sufficiently different. lol
