That's cool! I got the team photo from an Ebay listing which also has a bunch of their individual baseball cards that Bon Marche put out that year.
That's Mickey Miller, He and Leach were both Selma baws. Coach Miller used to give licks with a Jokari paddle. Hated that thing.

I almost can’t believe this is real. “Women love the saltiness of Gavin.” From Hormel!

Clint Eastwood dances the Twist with Connie Hines (or is he twisting with Mr Ed? Whoa that would be a great song title: "Twistin' With Mr Ed")

1963, the last sack of US Mail is delivered to the Post Office in Logtown, Mississippi.
The town was razed to allow NASA to construct what is now Stennis Space Center on it’s site.
The residents mostly stayed close, some relocated to Picayune, others to Pearlington, Lakeshore, Waveland, or Bay St Louis.
The poster on the wall is from the 1962 “K-O Polio” campaign to eradicate Polio in the US.
Of course Mississippi was behind the times….

Jonas Salk gave the vaccine away for free. He also started the Salk Institute in La Jolla. They do some amazing research. Different times.

My grandmothers house had one of those bathroom gas heaters and that thing could get so hot you could bake a turkey in front of it.

Trust me, don’t let your little kid back up and let it hit their butt. It hurts. It hurts bad. At least it did in the early 60s.
