Wow, that's from the first season, Chuck is in it. Richie had an older brother named Chuck who was basically written out after the first season.
I really like the early Happy Days, when they used Rock Around the Clock for the theme song, much better than the newer ones. The new episodes were just stupid.
Notice Fonzie wasn't wearing a leather jacket, they didn't want him to look like a hoodlum so they put a basic generic khaki jacket on him.

I mean when your show becomes the basis for the catch phrase of shows (and basically everything else) "going to the shitter"...

Not only is that Chuck, but it is the first Chuck, Gavan O'Herlihy, who passed last Sept. He was in 9 of the first 10 episodes of the first season.
Randolph Roberts played Chuck in 2 episodes of Season 2 (Ep 1 and 11). After that Christmas episode, The Cunninghams had only 2 children.
Season's 1 and 2 were the original house and Arnold's set and were also shot one-camera. There was a test episode in S2 that they shot with a live audience and a three camera setup. Season 3 they changed over to that permanently. S3 was also when they changed to "Happy Days" for the theme song.

Letterman did the weather at one time in his career.
His humor backfired one evening. He almost caused a panic when he jokingly reported "hail stones the size of canned hams" were falling on parts of the viewing area.

A sassy remark was called for, but I couldn't think of a good one.
