From what I remember, those American Gladiators couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with that tennis ball gun...

My Dad was an original Saints season ticket holder and I remember him taking a phone call from the Saints ticket office offering 4 seats to the SB. They were $15 each.

That was the one and only Super Bowl I have attended. We went down without tickets and bought 4 outside of the stadium for $5 each.

What did you call these things? And where did they go?
We just called the "stickers".

Sand burrs (as noted by 777Tiger in a previous post) is one term, but on the Mississippi Gulf Coast they are also known colloquially as rock-a-chaws (or rockachaws).

The nickname is so prevalent that it is the athletic team name for St. Stanislaus High School in Bay St. Louis:

weird I don't see them as much as I did as a kid. Used to run around in bare feet. Always hated stepping on those things.

The old man used to take us there.

Jacket required for men, even 12 year-old me.

in the 80s I got hold of a 70s book called The Underground Gourmet, w/reviews of NO restaurants

LeRuth's and some other place were the only 4 stars (highest rating), Mosca's (where I've also never been) was 3

I was in HS when I read it. I was absolutely baffled by the idea that anybody would care that much about restaurants. That was something rich NY phags did

This was the 80s, before foodie culture became so prevalent

Only one for me, 1975. Tulane Stadium. Face value $20. Still got the stub but don't know how to post pics.

Don't try to teach me. I'm illiterate.
