June 30, 1972: Elvis Presley and Mary Kathleen Selph, riding his 1971 Harley-Davidson FLH Electra-Glide motorcycle in Memphis at the corner of South Parkway and Elvis Presley Boulevard. Kathy, was a dancer and singer at the Whirlaway Club. She was introduced to Elvis and they dated for awhile after a member of Elvis' entourage noticed she resembled Priscilla, says Selph's brother Steve.
Unfortunately at just 20 years old Kathy was killed on July 18, 1972 in an automobile accident. The identity of the woman in the photograph was unknown until her mother, Peggy Selph Cannon, came forward in January 2000 to say it was her daughter.
