Was wondering whether to head to NO, Savannah or Charleston with the wife this summer. Think I've narrowed it down to 2 choices...

Both cities are full of history and SC, besides the one flag at the state house, ain't removing shite for these frickers. We started this war and it, whether or not you like it, is forever a part of our history. Even the black contigency here is, for the most part, perfectly ok with it since the battle flag came down in front of the state house. It's still flying proudly at all other monuments in SC...and there are a shite ton of them, none have which have been defaced or fussed over. frick, even the old market in Charleston is still referred to as the "Slave Market."

Not the same as Flint but nice job trying to spin it.

Some sources of lead in water comes from pipes in homes, and 65 to 80 percent of the city pipes are nearly two centuries old, although now some are being replaced since Hurricane Katrina. Still, it would cost more than $5.7 billion to replace all the pipes, money the city does not have. The Sewage and Water Board responded saying the pipes are treated which makes lead in the water minimal. They said the water is safe and leaves the treatment system with no lead. But the water is treated with anti-corrosives so when it goes through the pipes there is very little chance of lead leaching into the water from city pipes.

Why are they even taking any care at all? Wasn't Beauregard and evil SOB? They should just bulldoze the thing like it was Saddam Hussein.

Some longshoremen watching this are laughing their arse off. Hell, how many shipyards in the area where they could have watched to get some ideas?
