Personalized license plates

Driving thru Mississippi headed to the beach and I see countless personalized license plates. It got me thinking, what kind of baw gets one of these?
Does the OT find them trashy, self absorbed, or do yall have em too?

They aren't really big in La but they seem really popular in Virginia based on my driving around that state.

While I’ve seen some good ones, most are trashy. That being said, one that was amazing was in Virginia. They had a license plate style with kids finger painted hands around the border and at the bottom it said “children first”. Some guy personalized his license plate to say “Eat The”.

I thought personalized plates made it easier when vehicles were bought and sold, ya know, just swap em when you buy a new one. Maybe I’m wrong, idk.
