Facts are facts. We’re in the average range of volume. Yet highest rates in country nearly.

No, I know most drivers suck. But when is the last time you actually saw an accident, much less one with injury? Or a family member was in a car accident? There just aren't that many to go around and continue to fund these massive operations.

Yup...

And also they need to change the damn jury theshold... it’s 50k in this state, the next closest is 15k. That’s insane.

Anyone arguing minimal damage or low speed should automatically be dismissed from this conversation.

So even more people will get to serve jury duty...

you are so naive. People get in tiny fender benders then claim major injuries all the time. Hell a lot of times people will drive to wreck and act like they were in the car to try and be apart of a claim.

Well, you're kind of making my point. But how many "tiny fender benders" or other car wrecks are actually occurring every day or week? The volume would need to be astronomical to support all these operations and, if so, I'd expect to see a wreck at least once a week but I don't. and I'm driving around NOLA most days.

So NO small accident can cause major bodily injury?

part of this is likely because in this state, more people are likely to sue for soft tissue for minor accidents to get a little Birthday, Christmas, etc. money.

I'm familiar with the allegations in these lawsuits and I'm not saying the allegations are untrue, but I find it difficult to believe that there are more than a handful of dishonest attorneys who would stage accidents. There are always bad apples in every profession but there is no way this is endemic among trial lawyers in this state. I would not deny that there are tons of BS PI suits filed but to say there is an epidemic of attorneys staging accidents is just not logical.

I see accidents every day on the way to and from work. Interstate is usually full of them.

Between my wife and I we've been rear ended four times in the last 3 years. My two were on their cell phones at the time.

There's a whole Reddit thread devoted to rollover accidents in NOLA. How often is the damn interstate shut down because of accidents? I see them all of the time. There are definitely no shortage of people getting in accidents in this state.

I am not a personal injury lawyer but I can easily see both sides. Ask this question if god forbid a friend or family member is ever injured in an accident. See which side you come down on.

insurance companies provide a full written policy of their coverages. Usually not much to hate a company for besides your own ignorance.
