After what happened to me I SWORE off anything serious. I was NEVER getting married again. There were more than a few I enjoyed time with. And I could have kept on.

Except for my kids. When she came along and all of sudden started filing the emptiness in my house. Playing Little Susie homemaker. All 50’s pin up.
And then when i needed a babysitter so I could go do work on stuff, she was there

Despite not being my paint by number fantasy, she found a way to my heart.

Life goes on. Life happens. Enjoy it

I went to grad school with a girl that has been married 3 times and divorced twice since we graduated in 2013. One of my dad’s friends is on his sixth marriage.

This was one of the most frustrating things when I was a military recruiter

17 year old kids wanting to enlist and the moms were divorced multiple times, in multiple places, had to get all divorce decrees and marriage licenses. Annoying

What kind of person do you have to be to marry someone who has married 7-8 times...tf. Should probably take a hint there

Several years ago we had a caretaker on the farm. His wife left him. We found out later she was wife # 15. Yep you read that right 15. He was in his 60s then.

My dad said he'd never get married again after he got divorced from my mom in 1989 and he's still single.

My biological father, probably. He married and divorced 5 times. All but one lasted less than two years.

My dad has had the same girlfriend for 10-15 years but they don't live together and he'll never marry her. He told me he's not sure that he could live with a woman again at 70 and would rather leave his assets to his children.

I guess single life is a good bit different at 48 than it is at 30. I posted it a few posts up but my dad got divorced at 38 and told me at the time that he'd never marry again and never has.

Adults usually grow out of caring how 20 year olds think about them

Ths is what you call projecting

Most adults aren't that insecure. You'll grow out of it
