My teenaged daughter and her friends hang out at Perkins Rowe a fair amount. There's really nowhere normal kids can go hang out now where they might not run into thugs. It sucks.

Possibly related, but I bought a new car fairly recently so I went to Carmax to see what they would offer me for my old vehicle. While waiting on their offer, I saw that they offer “24 hour test drives”, so I asked what that was about. The young lady started by saying “it’s gonna be discontinued pretty soon” and went on to let me know that you can basically take one of their cars to test drive for 24 hours before you had to bring it back, and continued to say that they’re closed on Sunday so a lot of people would come in on Saturday and ask to “test drive” a Charger or the like, which basically gave them a free vehicle for the weekend. She said that they would come back smelling like weed more often than not. Anytime I see something like this, that’s where my mind immediately goes now.

Yes. It's proven to be many times safer to back in to a spot upon arrival, plus helps flow upon egress.

I have always found is somewhat curious how these people can afford 40k+ cars. I even hear them racing to work at 5:30am when I let the dog out.

I was going to let my kid finish Baton Rouge high, now I am not planning on it. Baton Rouge is a shithole. Its the people. Crackers are out of control and nobody is going to make them behave legally, you know BRPD is useless.

I'm all for kids enjoying prom. It's their moment and they should enjoy it. Kids are only going to be young one time. All of that being said, there is a certain group of people that feel entitled to do whatever they want , whenever they want. And it's so obvious. But if it gets called out by people of their color those people get called Uncle tom's, for other colors that call them out, they get called racist. I hate this place. This is a learned behavior. They are broken.
