Percentage of US citizens who are ghastly unaware of global politics?

I was out last night with my SO and meeting a couple friend of hers... SO is 5 yr younger and so was this couple, and the conversation steered into politics like it often does and the girl had absolutely NO IDEA who Boris Johnson was...
My SO and I are building a house and we were talking about the “build process” and I likened it to Boris defending his refurbishing 10 Downing St. and her eyes went vacant.
Got me thinking, how many people, whom I suspect are early/mid-30’s, are aware of at least the very broadest of strokes when it comes to foreign governments... I mean, the fricking PM at least
ib4: subtle SO and house building brag

It’s funny. Many Europeans seem to know all about America politics. Yet many Americans will probably have trouble naming one current European leader. Or any world leader besides Putin. That being said Europeans seem to care too much about American politics.

The mainstream media rarely covers global politics. It is all about wokeness, racism and entertainment.

Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, we’re sorta the only country that matters.

If it’s not the kardashians or cardi B doing something, the vast majority of Americans are oblivious to it

I'd wager that UNAIDED, the numbers would be bad
75% can't name their mayor
90% can't name a councilman
90% can't name a state legislator
50% can't name the governor
99% can't name the Lt. Governor (50% won't even believe this position exists)
90% can't name their Representative
50% can't name a Senator (probably lower in GA, given this past year)
25% can't name the VP, and if it wasn't Harris, that number would be 50%
95% can't name a CURRENT world leader, other than perhaps Putin.
