Think every damn city in the South has broken an all-time heat record this summer. I know Biloxi did yesterday.

Negative.

ETA: Downvote all you want, but "the south" is a big place and a large portion of it has had a below average Summer to this point.

It's a dry heat. Seriously.

Heat this high cooks the humidity. Get in the shade and feel the occasional breeze.

The low 90's with the 90% humidity in early June was oppressive.

What do you think they were saying in BR when they set these record highs:

18 102 °F September 23, 1921
18 102 °F September 11, 1921
18 102 °F August 25, 1921
18 102 °F August 21, 1921
18 102 °F August 9, 1921
18 102 °F August 7, 1921
18 102 °F August 6, 1921
18 102 °F July 4, 1921

All time (since record keeping obviously)

1 110 °F August 19, 1909
2 108 °F August 20, 1909

CWOP station readings are about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

No one with a CWOP station actually calibrates their instruments.
