Daytime soaps are going extinct. Talk and reality shows are generally more popular but cheaper to produce.

This is the story of two sisters. Jessica Tate and Mary Campbell. Jessica lives in a neighborhood known as "rich". Jessica likes life, the only thing about life she would change if she could, is that she would set it all to music. The Tates have more secrets than they do money. We're approaching Mary Campbell's house. Mary, too, likes life. Unfortunately, life doesn't seem to be too crazy about her. As you can see the Campbell's don't have nearly as much money as the Tates. This crazy old bastard that worked for my dad's shop would sit around all day watching "The Young and the Restless". It was basically softcore porn for housewives on copious amounts of anti-depressants.

That's funny. That guy has been on there decades. I can remember my aunt watching that during the day in the early 1980's.

When nothing happens to anyone you'd think people would grow tired of the same ol crap.

I've been watching Bold and The Beautiful since its debut back in 1987. It's harder than kicking heroin to stop watching it after all these years.
