Growing your territory way beyond goals then getting butt fricked on the incentives when the program changes after you accepted the job
All of the sacrifices that go into a traveling job are not worth it if the compensation is not what you signed up for

The airport pickup scene is consistently the most stressful part of my travel. People are such unaware, selfish assholes, and that is never more apparent than that clusterfrick.
After 10 years of 25-30 weeks a year, it really is very routine and rarely do situations arise that piss me off. Maybe I'm numb to most travel inconveniences, but other than missing time and activities with the family, which isn't insignificant to me, not even flight delays get to me anymore.
I guess getting sick while out of town happens sometimes, and that's a real bitch.

Being away from family.
I’m a loner and really enjoy my time by myself. I always try to eat at local restaurants. I run a lot so I get to see some cool unexplored areas, I love the points, and the time in the car, or on the plane. But at the end of a trip I really just want to get home and see my kids and wife.

Airports. The boarding process. The abundance of travelers that don’t know what the hell they’re doing.

I fly southwest where you seat yourself and this Just happened to me now. Flight is half full... it has been announced as half full. Some jack arse grabs the middle seat instead of going three rows back and getting a window or aisle. Now you are cramped up against the god damn window because they wanted to get off the plane 30 seconds quicker. Fuuuckk I travel too much.

I’ve gotten up and moved when this has happened to me before.

I don't know how anyone can say anything other than dealing with the general public while traveling. Airports are the worst, because they're filled with idiots who have absolutely no urgency and typically have no clue what they're doing. There is absolutely nothing worse than being stuck in an airport with a bunch of "once every 5 years" fliers. Those fricks make the TSA process seem impossible.

Yep. It’s easily the general public. If you want to see how stupid people are as a rule, travel a lot. It is mind blowing.
I haven’t seen mentioned but 18 wheelers can make road travel absolutely miserable.

It’s inevitable, but no part worse than either missing a connecting flight or having your flight home cancelled and having to do it over again the next day

The frequent business travelers behind them huffing and puffing and showing their annoyance is pretty dang close.
