People who request read receipts on every single email sent

I'd rather them that those that "reply all" on a 90 person email that only needs responses back to the original sender.

Read receipts, emails marked urgent, and meaningless reply-allers are the worst. If you need me, pick up the phone and call. Otherwise, I get to it when I get to it.

Had a boss who told me that I had to turn on my acknowledgement of read receipts for him to know when I read his emails. Just one of the many reasons why he is no longer my boss.

I had a guy once who, instead of walking 50 feet, or calling me on the radio, sent me a fricking email.

It has been a minute since I used Outlook for email but I thought you could choose how it handled all this. I don't recall seeing read receipt emails. I also had to mark it read. About once a year or so I would just choose a ton of unread emails and mark them read and try to crash the server.

Mostly Karen’s in my experience. Then when you look at their inbox they have 1500 unread messages.
