I think anybody that keeps a pet is weird, but bird people are the weirdest.

Do people actually do that? I can’t really say I’ve ever been to a house where someone kept a bird

Wait no I can I used to cut this guys yard in high school who had a huge bird caged outside. Would scare the shite out of me it was so loud. He was a weird guy though so I guess it makes sense

I don't have any birds but my parents do and this is false.

They are entertaining as hell.

You've clearly never had one as a pet.

You can absolutely play with them.

They are super friendly, fun to have around, and they like to chill on your shoulder while you do whatever the hell it is you're doing around your house.

Oh look, a creature with the miracle of flight. Let's put it in a cage!

Agree, cool animals should not be in cages. It will destroy their spirit.

Why?
Because I like birds.
quote:

they are loud,
Yep, ... but not as aggravating to me as a dam little yap yap dog. They are usually quiet when only family is around.

they smell
Mine don't. I keep the area clean.
quote:

they shite all over,
Only in places directly under their asses. A little newspaper in key places which I change every day.
quote:

they carry disease
I don't know where you get this from. They get disease, they die.
quote:

you cant play with them.
Mine loves to play. I have them spoiled to the point that they come out of the cage and just wait for me to go play with them when they see me moving around.

Mine are free to fly around the house. They don't. Got fat and lazy I guess.

I took one outside one day for a walk. Something spooked him and he took flight. He made a large circle and landed on my shoulder.

They don't enjoy the walks any more. They get nervous and want to go back in.

You're a loser.
Have you ever even hung out with an African grey, cockatoo, and macaw at the same time?

African greys can imitate hundreds of words and even exact voices.
Cockatoos are freaking hilarious and have the intelligence of a toddler.

My dad's is insane. He raised it from hatching so it's only loyal to him. Little bastard will be in his cage saying "pretty bird" and stick his foot out to trick guests into petting him. Then SNAP, he bites the shite of them.
The grey just sits in the cage with the door open and will randomly say stuff. Was eating chicken wings one night and he climbed out and walked over to my plate to beg.
