No, not really. I know that if you dont drive a Porsche and get your dick sucked 10 times a day by supermodels, you are trashy to the OT, but ear gauges do not equate to trashiness. Most people with ear gauges or young and either in school/work in the service industry. Alot of trashy people sit on their fat asses and collect a gubment check.

How big are your gauges? About a half dollar size?

I know a guy that had spacers. It was kind of freaky. He married a hot hot wife though.

They now divorced because he was a bum who wouldn't hold a job.

Most high paying professional employers are less worried about appearance.

Sorry, but appearance does indeed matter and going tribal with head gear will make getting through the corporate door more difficult. Is what it is.

Also, I'd bet there is a direct correlation with those who do that and what their likely path is.

I can see the computer/software industry being more tolerant than the corporate tax/business world. In engineering (civil consulting at least), you will NEVER reach the higher pay grades as they require face to face with clients and clients are usually very conservative people.

I judge people that have visible arm or facial tattoos. That they obviously are not quality decision makers.

But of course, if your ambition is owning your own motorcycle shop, then by all means. Get yourself a sleeve.

Yeah, he's basically a real life Sheldon Cooper. Unfunny, socially awkward, and way to smart for me to ever understand what he's talking about.

A friend of mine has them. He's worked on the hadron collider at CERN and is a physics professor at Columbia... So I guess you're wrong

again, consider the canvass.......an Ivy League university setting is actually much less attainable/common than, say, employment in a Fortune 500 financial group.

So, you haven't shown where he is wrong, only cited a VERY specific example that 99.9% of most people won't go anyways.

I don't care what other people do to their bodies as long as they don't stink like shite when they're around me.

Stinky people can get bent.

They can always be small business owners. Like opening an organic food co-op store.

Maybe not, but if my taxes are paying their unemployment, welfare, food stamps, section 8 housing, etc, etc.... then their choices DO matter to me.

Perhaps in the sense because of people with your mentality. Alot of people think like this and see a sleeve on someone and automatically assume that they are trashy and uneducated. It may show poor decision making because it is widely unaccepted in society and professional appearance because of people like you, so it can be assumed that a person with a full sleeve would lack the proper judgement and common sense to not get a sleeve knowing that it would hinder their chances of getting a professional job. Correlation does not equal causation. Some very smart people are tatted head to toe and you wouldnt know. (well neck to toe lol) The thing is that prejudice of said people is typically right because when drawing from the pool of people with full arm sleeves, you'd no doubt get people that work in a less "professional" environment. You will however, get people that are probably off the charts in artistic creativity, people that think outside the box and are probably alot less religious than the mean because they dont just follow the masses because it's the thing to do. Most musicians, artists, culinary arts, music production, performing arts, drama members, dancers, etc are in this pool.

I agree with you, but it is a lost cause with people on the OT.

I have had people on here argue to me why writing a hand written thank you note is a bad idea, and another person try to convince me that not using a wallet is the way to go and one should carry around one of these instead:

While I don't give a flying frick if someone has tattoos or piercings, saying jobs in Corporate settings don't frown upon them is idiotic. It's a professional setting for frick's sake.

Edited typo.

Do most musicians, artists, and drama club members seem like the typical 9-5er to you? The group as a whole are social outcasts. That was very clear in everything I typed so obviously you were replying for the sake of disagreeing.
