How cringe is it when someone from the burbs or city decides to go country and adopt an accent to go along with their new camo outfits and dual wheeled pick trucks? Yeesh

Not near as annoying as jersey wearing flat billers.

I think I'm yet to come across this
Honestly I don't know anyone that wears camo unless they are in the woods or swamp

Not as bad as hippies that start saying "Jah" and "mon"

Had an ex from Illinois that would do that when drinking. She lived there all her life, and had that goddamn Midwest accent when sober. It would kill my buzz.
Luckily that didn't last long. after the playoffs of 2006, I realized I'd had enough.

Immersion in a new culture/region can and will actually change your accent involuntarily.
Have a buddy who moved to South Africa a few years back and doesn't notice it himself, but sounds like a former South African trying to adjust to an American accent now. Its hilarious.
Happens all the time.
This does not mean I'm defending people with faux Southern accents trying to be cool.
