The majority of Nobel prizes in medicine go to biologists! Not MDs.
I meant to come back to this.
That doesn’t surprise me.
Medicine is an art that uses science. It’s not a science though.

But, if someone has a viewpoint etc but doesn't have scientific credentials....that doesn't have any bearing on the merit of their viewpoint.
Credential shaming is lazy.
But never question any Tom, Dick or Mary in the media.
Believe everything the media says without question but dismiss everyone else because the mass media majors, they are the experts in everything.

Do you all know anyone like this? It just seems kinda sad to me.
Maybe he's just following JBE/SWB's orders

It's the equivalent of a vampire wearing garlic and cross around his neck. The majority of people would call that vampire a fricking idiot. However, the COVID vampires get a pass for wearing masks.

There's no leading scientist who believes you can definitely get it twice, but a lot of them think it may be possible.
My fil's GP told him that since he got rona he will be immune from getting it again for a year.

The whole getting it twice story just vanished. Apparently, if/when one does get it a second time it's just a bad cold.

Wait a second, I was under the impression that we are under a statewide mandate that you have to wear a mask inside a building?
I mean I agree with you that the whole thing is retarded and pointless for those of us who have recovered from it, but what else do you expect us to do? Walk around and get kicked out of every public place?

Who cares?
Why don’t you do you and let him to him, and just respect people?
Is this really that difficult of a concept?
I don’t understand why every hill has to be one to fight on.

I was like, "but you already had it". He responded "they say that you can get it again".
there's a nurse at a local hospital, tested positive for COVID late march, was out of work for 2 weeks. re-tested negativ in april.
Now in June, was taking care of COVID patients and had symptoms again. tested positive.
While it might be a rare case, likely not the norm, there's still so much unknown.

Lots of questions
Symptoms / feeling sick / fever or asymptomatic?
Multiple tests or just the 3?
Was she not following protocol to get it in June? With proper PPE & procedures shouldn’t she have been safe?
ETA
I think there are issues with tests & I don’t trust the healthcare workers getting it narrative, they are supposed to be the ones with the best PPE & procedures
Unless they go home & have no contact with other people then they can’t guarantee they are getting it at work

Provided the links in another response. Quick google search showed several cases in which this has happened

I'm just going to leave this here: LINK

On April 14, Argentina mandated required use of homemade masks — or “tapabocas” — for all who are out in certain areas of the country.
The South American nation had long been a model for its “no-nonsense” handling of the pandemic. The strict shelter-in-place, for example, required that people could not even leave their homes to exercise, and in its most populous city of Buenos Aires, people could (and still can) be fined between 10,000 and 80,000 pesos ($142-$1134 USD) for not complying.

So let me get this straight....
You’re annoyed by a man wearing a mask and somehow it’s our problem you have to see him wear a mask?

A media story that clearly states "according to" is not a link to a fact nor a study.
A) more than likely in each of those cases, the person never got over the virus itself.
B) every one of those articles is quoting the patient themselves, not clear data that proves the case one way or another.
Stop believing something just because the media says it's true or someone with a credential says it's true.
I'm not saying you are right or wrong, nor could I care. I also think the OP is kind of a jackass for worrying about what others do.
But the OP has also thrown out a bunch of good info that your links do not do shite to disprove.

That nurse told a physician she felt like she was having covid symptoms again. Fever, cough, and nausea. Same as back when she was initially diagnosed.
She followed protocol with proper PPE, but she also went out to restaurants. So that very well could be where she got it too.
The interesting part of all of this is you're witnessing the evolution of medicine. There's so much unknown that it takes time to learn more but it's something new.

Ok so a lot of people don’t understand that testing positive multiple times doesn’t mean that you have been infected multiple times. None of those people have definitively been re-infected. It’s just a long period of infection.

It's almost as if hiding just delays inevitable.
Rip the band-aid off.

I know 2 people who had and now have it again
With symptoms both times?
Short version: I know somebody who had it twice... Life-threatening case in early March. Moderate-->Severe case in early July.
Normal Attention Span Version:
I have a very good friend who has had it twice. First time was first week of March right before the shutdown. She caught it from somebody she worked with. Even though she was in her mid-30s with zero recent health issues - She became very sick and was in the hospital for 10 days (ventilator for 3-4 days IIRC).
She was testing negative and symptom-free 6 weeks later. As such - I was happy to count her among the dozen or so friends who attended a BBQ at my house for my birthday the last week of May. No masks were worn... no guests contracted Covid.
Cut to the first week of July - She was sick again. Positive for Covid with symptoms bad enough to land her back in the hospital for 48 hours of observation/treatment. Unclear if she was DEFINITELY responsible for any new infections as Dallas was big-time spiking in general at that point... but a couple ppl she had hung out with on 4th of July felt ill and tested positive the following week.
